Focused on full-stack development and creating user-friendly experiences.
Collaborated in a team of 4 at a hackathon to build a full-stack prescription reminder web application. Implemented user authentication through Firebase, connected patient-caregiver roles using MongoDB and user-friendly UI navigation using React.
Built a modular text-based RPG (MUD) in Python featuring turn-based combat, randomized encounters, and state-driven navigation. Validated game logic with structured docstrings, doctests, and unit tests to ensure predictable state transitions and maintainable code.
Collaborated in a team of 3 to build a full-stack Tinder-style restaurant discovery web app, displaying the nearest restaurant that met user's dining needs. Led weekly Scrum meetings through face-to-face discussions that created assigned work for each developer in a Trello system, creating efficient task breakdown to maximise team output.
Lead developer for a team of four building a classroom-focused web application to support interactive engagement and structured workflows. Implemented client-side logic, Firebase-backed state management, and reusable UI components using modern front-end practices for efficient deployment at a hackathon.
I'm a student developer at the British Columbia Institute of Technology, currently pursuing a diploma in Computer Systems Technology. My journey into tech began when I switched from a Health Science major to Computer Science, thanks to recommendations from friends and former professors.
What started as a career pivot has become a genuine passion. I enjoy the freedom of creating with code and transforming random ideas from the drawing board to an actual product. Whether I'm building full-stack web applications or solving complex problems, I find myself unlocking new gears in the development process.
Born and raised in beautiful British Columbia, I balance my screentime with outdoor adventures. You'll find me snowboarding in the winter and golfing in the summer. Otherwise I enjoy spending time with my cat, Taro.
